REMOTE
Just because the road ends, the project doesn’t need to. Utility Technologies, Inc., has performed utility construction work for GCI and other customers in numerous cities and villages in Alaska from Barrow to Ketchikan. Most of these areas require a significant mobilization effort. Critical for this work is proper planning and preparedness.

UTI employees are familiar with preparing for and working in remote areas.  They have the ability to quickly mobilize and begin operations in these remote regions.

Here a helicopter lifts one of our mini excavators and crew to mobilize it to a remote site along the Alaska Pipeline outside of Valdez, Alaska as part of a restoration of the Alaska United fiber optic cable buried in the pipeline corridor. The fiber optic cable is a vital link for the Alaska Pipeline, running from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez.
